The Holocaust or 'Shoah' was the event that led to the deaths of over six million Jewish people between 1939 and 1945. It was the culmination of years of antisemitism and racial ideology that led to the rise of the Adolf Hitler and the Nazi Party in Germany. The videos below were created by Yad Vashem, the offical Holocaust memorial in Israel, to help educate people about all issues relating to the study of the Holocaust. Students and staff wishing to learn more about the Holocaust are encouraged to watch the following videos in sequence and to consider visiting the official Yad Vashem website for more information. More resources will be uploaded to this website in the lead up to Life Week 2020 and will continue into 2021 when we commemorate the first Holocaust Memorial Week at Good Samaritan Catholic College.
