When trying to study the Holocaust and appreciate the lessons it offers for our world today, it is essential that we listen to the voices of those that lived through the events of the Holocaust. The Holocaust was an attempt to forever silence the voices of Jewish people in our world and so it is our duty to ensure that their voices are still heard now and into the future. We can never hope to avoid repeating the mistakes of the past if we do not stop to listen to those whose lives were most impacted by past events. Below there will be a number of video testimonies available for students and staff to watch and learn more about the Holocaust through the eyes of the people that lived through it. Teachers may choose to use one of these testimonies to support the learning of classes engaging in activities throughout Life Week 2020. These videos were produced by Yad Vashem, the official Holocaust memorial in Israel. More testimonies can be found via the Yad Vashem website.
